I’m still slowly but surely decorating…this time back in the craft/sewing room. These are repurposed baby formula cans, decoupaged with fabric scraps and felt letters. I love how they add a fun burst of color to the room! My intention is to use them to sort scraps from my sewing projects, but as of now they are still empty.
I managed to sneak away for an hour on Saturday to visit a few yard sales in the area. I found this handy little potty chair, which is great since I have TWO little ones who need training. Of course, they both fight over who gets to sit on it…fully clothed. I’m hopeful that it will soon be used for its intended purpose.
I also found several picture frames and a few unfinished wooden plaques that I’m planning to use for a photo wall going up our main staircase. The inspiration, of course, came from Pinterest. I’ll post pictures as it comes along, but first I have to find quite a few more frames.
I finally got the four big boys’ headboards primed over the weekend. Now I just need to get the final paint coat on each of them. Their room is slowly coming along. Now if I could just get them to keep it CLEAN, we’d really be getting somewhere!
Monday is the first day of our new school year, since we always start on the first Monday in August. This year I have an 8th grader, a 6th grader, a 4th grader, and a 1st grader doing actual school work. I’m hoping we get a really good routine going right off the bat, since I’m a little bit nervous about trying to keep up with 4 students, as well as the 3 little ones. I’ll try to update how our first week goes on Friday or Saturday. Let’s hope it’s a happy update!
