This is what happened at my house over the weekend. The awesome sheet of peg board was added above my sewing table. Instant space to organize! :::swoon::: I don’t know why I only bought a dozen hooks. Seriously, I need at least 3 times that many!!
See the piece of natural-wood colored trim sitting on the table there in front of the serger? We’re cutting enough of that to frame that sheet of peg board (and my design wall area on the opposite side of the room) and painting it turquoise. I am SO excited to see my craft room in our new house really coming together! I’ll do a reveal of the whole space once I have more of it done!
I want to put some cabinets above the peg board, but I’m still trying to figure out what will fit the space exactly. And I’m trying to decide if I should go ahead and move the drawers on the right hand side and put another tall book case there instead, so both sides of the table match. What do y’all think?
Oh, and that awesome paper trimmer there on the cutting table? That was a Goodwill find yesterday. I paid $5.99 for it and I believe it retails for around $70. SCORE! Actually my husband, Jeremy, was with me and HE was the one who spotted it and asked if it was something I could use. Umm, YESSSS!! He says I owe him big time, LOL!
I need to put together a post of the fabulous supplies and tools I find thrifting. Y’all, you can get the BEST deals on crafty goodies at thrift stores. Almost every time I go I find either a new tool, nice supplies, or something that I can repurpose for decorating…at a fraction of it’s original price. And I love the thrill of the hunt!
What awesome goodies do YOU get excited to find at thrift stores? And what do you think–should I move the drawers and put another tall book shelf in their place? Comment and let me know!!
